For Tamika Straney, taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave is a deeply personal decision.
Her Pop, Bob (Robert), is currently living with leukaemia, and his journey has inspired Tamika to do something meaningful to support others and families facing blood cancer.
Tamika has set herself a goal of raising $10,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation and has already raised an incredible $6,015.
In a special interview, Tamika and Bob share a little of their story, the impact leukaemia has had on their family and why the World’s Greatest Shave means so much to them.
For Tamika, shaving her head is one small way she can stand alongside people living with blood cancer and help raise awareness and vital funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Now, the countdown is on.
On Friday, 23 October, Tamika will take the next step in her fundraising journey and shave her head at the Ray White Goulburn office.
The team is inviting members of the local community to come along, cheer Tamika on and show their support as she takes on the big shave.
It will be a special moment for Tamika, Bob and their family, and an opportunity for the Goulburn community to come together behind an important cause.
Tamika is continuing to work towards her $10,000 fundraising goal, and every donation, big or small, can help make a difference to people living with blood cancer and their families.
